Dugong Mum-Calf Pair Handmade Felt Keychain

The dugong is one of MareCet’s focal species for research and conservation. In Peninsular Malaysia, the endangered dugongs are currently known to be present only within Johor waters. MareCet is currently studying the population of dugongs and their seagrass habitat around the Sibu-Tinggi archipelago, Johor.

The keychain is handsewn by local ladies in Sibu Island, Johor (MareCet’s project site for dugong conservation). When you purchase the keychain, you are contributing towards keeping our marine mammal conservation work going as well as supporting local community livelihood.

The mum-calf pair is detachable – the calf is attached to the mum with a magnet.

Size*: 13.5 cm (mum length), 9.5 cm (calf length)
